Famous commentator and former sports journalist Mohammad Musa died at a city hospital on Thursday. He was 65. According to the sports commentators’ forum, he had suffered a cardiac arrest at 2:30am on Thursday and was taken to the Islami Bank Hospital at Kakrail where he breathed his last.
He left behind his wife, a son and two daughters, apart from numerous well-wishers, to mourn his death.
He was buried at the Mirpur-11 graveyard after a namaj-e-janaza at the Mirpur central mosque.
Musa started his career as a commentator in 1977 with Bangladesh Betar before he moved to Bangladesh Television in 1982. He also worked for national Bengali daily Inqilab for 26 years and was assistant editor of the newspaper before his death.
