Acting in television plays for different channels for upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr is keeping National award winner actress Zakia Bari Momo busy currently. She will appear on 10 or more TV plays during the festival.
She has also signed a new film with director Masud Hasan Ujjal. ‘I will reveal the details of the film after Eid. I want to keep it as a surprise
for my fans’, Momo said. She is the winner of Lux Channel-i Super Star beauty contest in 2006. After winning the title, she stepped into the entertainment industry.
Momo’s acting career began with Humayun Ahmed’s film Daruchini Dwip where she worked alongside Riaz, Munmun, Bindu and others. After the success of this film, she worked on many TV series and commercials. She has also walked on ramp for various fashion shows.
Bhalobashar Chatushkon and Asin are two drama serials featuring Momo that are currently being aired on Ntv and Channel 24 respectively.
In Bhalobashar Chatushkon, Momo is playing the central role of a modern and romantic girl named Nila who works for an advertising agency. Momo is playing the titular role in Asin where the character’s husband goes missing after she conceives his child.
‘I like to do different characters and nowadays I have become more selective about my work’, said Momo.
