Moner Manush bags best movie award
Moner Manush, a Bangladesh-India joint production movie, on Thursday won the best movie award at the competition section of the 41st Goa International Film Festival in India.
The movie won 40 lakh rupees in prize money, said a press release.
The movie directed by Goutam Ghose of India based on a novel of the same name by the popular Indian writer Sunil Gangopadhyay sketches the life of Fakir Lalon Shah. Indian actor Prosenjit plays the protagonist. Bangladeshi actors Raisul Islam Asad, Hasan Imam, Laila Hasan, Chanchal Chowdhury, and Sudeshna Swayamprabha Tathoi have also acted in the film.
Impress Telefilm Limited is the local producer of Moner Manush. The movie will be released today in more than 100 movie theatres in Bangladesh and India.
