Mohammedan Sporting Club moved to joint top of the Premier Hockey League table with Usha Krira Chakra after a thumping 8-0 win over Sadharan Bima at the Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium on Thursday. Mohammedan continued their dominance throughout the game, thanks to their Pakistani recruit Umar Bhutta, who scored three goals.Mohammad Imran, another Pakistani striker put Mohammedan ahead in the 14th minute with a penalty shot before his compatriot Rizwan doubled the lead in the 25th minute.
Mohammedan captain Russell Mahmud Jimmy added another goal just three minutes later.
In the second half, Umar showed his skills by scoring two goals in the 36th and 49th minutes.
Salman Hossain and Tasvar Abbas also joined the goal fest by scoring in the 54th and 57th minutes respectively before Bhutta found his third of the day in the last minute from the final whistle.
