Dhaka Premier League leader Mohammedan Sporting Club will need another 136 runs from same amount of balls when they will resume their match against Cricket Coaching School on reserve day today.
Mohammedan reached 13-0 from 2.2 overs chasing CCA’s 149 from 25 overs in the rain-curtailed match before the rain forced the match stop on Saturday at Fatullah.The match between Prime Bank Cricket Club and Kalabagan Cricket Club will also resume today as Prime will need 90 runs off 21 overs after KCC made 89 off 21 in the rain affected match at Mirpur.
The 20-year old Salman Hossain, who has been a regular scorer for his young side, picked up his third half century in the league along with a century as he made highest 58 runs off 52 balls.
He got a good support from Amit Majumder, who made 24 off 21 with two sixes, and build a 58-run fourth wicket stand.
Uttam Sarkar remained not out on 23 off 17 and his cameo helped his side, which has one just one match in first eight rounds of the tournament, reach a total of almost run-a-ball.
Ariful Haque grabbed 3-29 for Mohammedan, who will all but ensure their super league qualification if they can win today.
At Mirpur, KCA batsmen struggled to score runs and none of their batsmen could get past 20-mark as Mehedi Hasan Miraz was the highest scorer with 19.
