Nadif Chowdhury and Mosharraf Hossain shared 227 runs in a record seventh wicket partnership as Dhaka amassed 484-7 in their National Cricket League third round match against Khulna on Saturday.
Nadif made 166 runs, his sixth first-class century while Mosharraf remained unbeaten on 98 in the top-tier rain-hit game at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.In the bottom tier, Dhaka Metro were 10-2 in their first innings after dismissing Rajshahi for 220 on the second day at Sheikh

Resuming the day on 132-4, Dhaka put a brilliant effort with the bat as both the overnight unbeaten batsmen Shuvagata Hom (66) and Taiabur Rahman (79) scored fifties and added 110 in the fifth-wicket.
Nadif and Mosharraf began their run fest after Mahadi Hasan trapped Shuvagata leg-before.
Occasional bowler Tushar Imran ended their record stand when he had Nadif caught by Mohammad Mithun in the penultimate over of the day after the right-hander hit 17 fours and six sixes.
Left-arm spinner Mehedi Hasan picked three wickets for Khulna while pacer Al-Amin Hossain took two wickets giving away 44 runs.
Rajshahi v Dhaka Metro
Rajshahi resumed on 114-4 and added another 106 runs to their first innings total before they were all out for 220.
Overnight unbeaten batsman Junaid Siddique staged a loan battle by scoring 85 runs before being bowled by Sharifullah, who picked three wickets for 57 runs.
In reply, Metro were struggling at 10-2 at the end of second day’s play.
