Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology and National Earthquake Technological Society of Nepal Monday signed an agreement for cooperation of the
scientific and technological research in the earthquake technology.
The director of the Institute of Earth Quake Engineering Research, Mohammad Abdur Bhuiyan, and the executive director of NETS, Nepal, Amodi Money Dikxit, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.
According to agreements both sides will exchange knowledge about earth quake technology in next five years.
The agreement was signed at the office of the CUET vice-chancellor Professor Jahangir Alam said such specialised bilateral agreement would be kept outstanding role between two friendly countries in earth quake research and education.
NETS director Amodi Money Dixit said as the geographical location of both Bangladesh and Nepal in earth quake prone area so both the countries would be benefited from the agreement.
Vice-chancellor of CUET Professor Rafiqul Alam and NETS deputy executive director Ramesh Gura Gain among others were present on the occasion.
