A citizen platform of Narayanganj, Amra Narayanganjbashi, formed a human chain at the central rail station on Saturday demanding to increase the commuter trains as
soon as possible to upgrade the city’s communication system.
The participants sent an application to the rail minister mentioning their nine-point demand including setting up double rail line, increasing the number of wagon and
resuming Narayanganj to Chittagong and Narayanganj to Sylhet train service.
They also said that they would go for stronger movement if the authorities make delay to fulfill the demands.
The organisation president, Nuruddin Ahmed, presided over the rally after the human chain and Nasiruddin Montu, Mahbubur Rahman Ismail and Mahbubur Rahman Masum,
addressed the programme, among others.
