North South University won the title of ‘best delegation’ at the ‘Global Young Leaders Summit’ organised by the United Nations at the UN Headquarters in New York recently.
Over 600 students representing renowned universities of 64 countries attended the gathering and the debate on the UN programmes.They discussed and gave opinions on the burning issues facing the world today, said a press release.
They also participated in drafting UN official documents and created inter-sectarian arena of dialogue, negotiations and best practices sharing, it said.
The delegation from NSU comprised of Zunayeed Noor Alam, Ahnaf Tahmid, Zayan Fida Noor, Shabab Golam Rahman, Sabbir Hossain, Tawkir Islam Khan, Samaan Rishad, Fokhorus Sakhin Nahian, Syed Imamuzzaman, Mamunur Rashid, Nudrat Farian, Tasnuva Maliha, Seefat Rafique, Reazaul Karim, Omar Faroque and Saiful Imam.
The summit was coordinated by the International Committee for UN Culture and Education Promotion.
