WORLD 800metres champion Caster Semenya has revealed she plans to run the 1,500m at next year’s London Olympics.
Semenya, 20, began her season over the weekend by winning over 800m in Potchefstroom, South Africa.
Semenya ran a time of 2mins 04.12secs to finish ahead of national champion Mapaseka Makhanya.
“It is part of my preparation for my first Olympics,” said South African Semenya. “I’m looking forward to it and the plan is to include the 1,500m at the Olympics.”
