A man was stabbed to death by unidentified criminals at Monsurabad C&B colony in the port city yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Md Nobi Hossain, 40, of Machhimpur Muhuri Bari under Daganbhiuyan upazila of Feni.
Jahirul Hoque, sub-inspector of Double Mooring Police Station, said some unidentified criminals stabbed Nobi, a staff of Saymum Hotel, in an attempt to mug him near Hazi Mosque around 10:00pm on Wednesday.
Locals, hearing Nabi’s cry for help, rushed to the spot in a critical condition and sent him to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries around 2.30pm, he added.
A case has been filed with Double Mooring Police Station in this connection.
