The concluding ceremony of the orientation programme for the 16th batch MBBS course students of Gano Bishwabidyalay was held on the university campus on Thursday.
Diabetic Association of Bangladesh president AK Azad Khan was present as chief guest at the programme presided over by the vice chancellor of the university, Mesbah Uddin Ahmed.
The orientation programme began on January 29, said a press release.
As part of their course, the students had visited the adjacent villages and observed the types of services delivered by the health workers to the people.
AK Azad Khan said Ganoshastho Kendro plays a pioneering role in providing health services to the rural people.
He said the students of Gano Bishwabidyalay study on liberation war, English, Bangla, gender, ethics and honesty as part of their medical study, which is very essential for the students.
