Pahela Baishakh on television channels

As in the previous yeas, the television channels of the country will telecast special programmes to celebrate Pahela Baishakh today.  
Channel i
Channel i will telecast Chhayanaut’s Barshabaran programme live from Ramna’s Bakultala at 6:00am. The channel will also telecast Grameenphone-Channel i Baishakhi Mela 1417 from its Tejgaon office at 10:00am.
Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar’s new film ‘Nijhum Aranye’ will be telecast at 2:30pm. The cast includes Sajal, Badhon, Illis Kanchan, Champa and Abul Hayat.
Humayun Ahmed’s drama ‘Chipa Bhut’ will be telecast at 7:50pm. Amirul Haque Chowdhury, Dr Ejaz, Farik Ahmed and Sohana Saba will perform different roles in the drama.   
ATN Bangla
ATN Bangla will telecast programmes in celebration of Pahela Baishakh from Chittagong DC Hill Park at 6:15am live.
Popular band Feedback, singers Fahmida Nabi and Bappa Majumder will sing in the celebrity talkshow ‘Baishakher Rang Legechhe’ to be telecast at 12:45pm.
Media personalities Sharmin Lucky, Farzana Arman Munni, Biplob Saha and RJ Nirob will also take part in the talkshow.
Giasuddin Selim’s popular film ‘Monpura’ will be telecast at 2:40pm. The cast includes Chanchal Chowdhury, Farhana Mili, Monir Khan Shimul, Mamunur Rashid, Fazlur Rahman Babu and Dilara Zaman.
Novelist Selina Hossain and Bangla Academy director general Shamsuzzaman Khan will speak on different aspects of Pahela Baishakh in the talkshow titled ‘Eshechhe Baishakh at 6:15pm. Salauddin Lavlu’s drama ‘Phera’ will be telecast at 8:00pm. Joy, Prova, Syed Hasan Imam and Dolly Zohur will be in the cast.
Hanif Sanket’s magazine programme ‘Panch Phoran’ will be telecast at 9:05pm.   
ETV
ETV will celebrate its 11th founding anniversary on Pahela Baishakh, the channel will telecast a four-day special programme beginning today.
The channel will telecast cultural programmes of Pahela Baishakh live at 11:30pm from different places in Dhaka.
Singers Shuvra Dev and Fahmida Nabi will perform in the musical programme at 6:30pm. Drama ‘Tin Ranger Prem’, directed by Sohel Arman, will be telecast at 7:50pm.
Drama ‘U-turn’, directed by Sakal Ahmed, will be telecast at 10:10pm. Actor Sakib Khan will be the guest in the talkshow ‘Media Xplosive’ at 9:30pm.   
NTV
A solo dance performance by popular actress Api Karim will be telecast at 7:00am. The channel will telecast live a concert ‘Ruchi Baishakhi Concert’ from Pabna at 9:30am.
Documentary film ‘Bangla Nababarsha’ will be telecast at 2:35pm.
Nurul Alam Atique’s drama ‘Aback Sandesh’ will be telecast at 9:00pm. Joya Ahsan, Azizul Hakim, Humayun Faridi and Sushama Sarkar will be in the cast.
Krishnakoli, Arup Rahi, Razzak baul and Fakir Sahabuddin will sing folksongs in a music programme at 11:30pm.   
RTV
The channel will telecast live a cultural programme organised by Farashganj Sporting Club from Farashganj Lalkuthi premises in older part of Dhaka at 8:00am.
The concert titled ‘Banglalink Baishakhi Utsab’ will be telecast from Dhaka University’s TSC area at 11:30pm. Music bands LRB, Warfaze and Arthahin and singers Maksood and Hyder Hussain will perform in the programme.
Tania Ahmed’s drama ‘Shuvo Halkhata’ will be telecast at 9:25pm. The cast includes Shahiduzzaman Selim, Naznin Hasan Chumki, Amirul Haque, Sagota and Sohan.   
Banglavision
Drama ‘Ghum’, scripted by Shibu Kumar Shill and directed by Tuhin Abanta, will be telecast at 9:05pm. Joya Ahsan, Toukir Ahmed and Dipa Khandokar will perform in the drama.
Dwijen Mukhopadhyay’s solo music programme ‘Utal Hawa’ will be telecast 8:15pm.
More than 20 noted and young dance artistes will present group dance in the programme ‘Baishakhi Dhol’ at 6:40pm. The programme is produced by Ananta Jahid.   
Desh TV
The channel will telecast Nazrul Sangeet Shilpi Parishad’s cultural programme from Rabindra Sarabar at 6:30am. Music programme based on folktales titled ‘Arbula Sundari’ will be telecast at 10:10am.
Challenger, Anisur Rahman Milon, Zakir Bari Momo and Shirin Alam will perform in the drama ‘Bagharu’ to be telecast at 9:45pm. The drama is scripted by Litu Shakwat and directed by Shoumo Nazrul.   
Channel 1
Music programme titled ‘Saindhe Laiga Jai’ featuring regional songs will be telecast at 6:45pm. Drama ‘Bhalobasar Galpa’, scripted by Humayun Ahmed and directed by Ashrafi Mithu, will be telecast at 8:15pm. The cast includes Shumaya Shimu, Intekhab Dinar and Al Munsur.   
Baishakhi
Singers Aslam Shah, Shirin Sultana, Korta Baul and Enamul Haque will sing Lalon songs at 4:30pm while Pratul Mukhopadhyay’s solo musical performance will be telecast at 7:40pm.
Abdul Kuddus Bayati and his group will present Maimansingh Gitika ‘Mahuwa Pala’ at 11:40pm. The programme has been produced by Islam Shafique.
