Theatre Fest In Barisal
Pancho Nari Akkhyan staged
The popular theatre troupe Dhaka Theatre staged its current production Pancho Nari Akkhyan at the Ashwini Kumar Hall in Barisal on Tuesday.
The production was staged on the fifth day of the week-long theatre festival organised by Shabdaboli Group Theatre that ended on Thursday. The festival was arranged to celebrate 35th anniversary of the theatre group.
Written by Harun Rashid and directed by the actor Shahiduzzaman Selim, the monodrama features oppression on women in the male dominated society through five oppressed female characters enacted by Rosey Siddique. The houseful audience present at the show appreciated the play to a great extent.
