Three beams at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium were displaced prompting the Bangladesh Cricket Board to move carefully at the stadium as a precautionary measure.
The incident which occurred at night came to notice on Sunday and the shop owners were panicked with the memory of the recent collapse of Rana Plaza still vivid in their memory.
The BCB requested all the shop owners from gate number 7-10 of the stadium to utmost care while walking under the shade of the southern stand.
The governing body of cricket immediately arranged a meeting with the representatives of the Nationals Sports Council and they assured the board of taking necessary steps.
‘We have informed the NSC and asked them to take necessary measures. As it is the property of the NSC, they need to fix it up,’ said Nizamuddin.
Grounds committee manager of the BCB Abdul Baten informed after the meeting with the NSC officials that they will repair it within a very short time.
