Pippa Middleton has reportedly been promised a £95,000 armoured car to protect her from obsessed fans.
The 27-year-old was catapulted to stardom following her sister Kate’s wedding to Prince William in April, prompting concerns about how her newfound fame may affect her safety.
Pippa’s parents Michael and Carole have now pledged to purchase their youngest daughter a bomb-proof luxury vehicle after discussing possible security threats with the royal couple’s bodyguards, The Sun claims.
“Carole and Michael have taken a raft of measures following advice from one of William’s most trusted bodyguards,” a source said.
“Pippa’s car will have all the latest security devices, including armour plating. It will be bomb-proof.”
Pippa is already believed to be keeping on her person a ‘panic button’ linked directly to the police. The Middleton family home in Berkshire has allegedly also been rigged with similar devices.
Stars including Kerry Katona and Tinie Tempah have previously shared their bemusement over the national fixation with Pippa.
