Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday exchanged Eid greetings with foreign diplomats, judges, senior civil and military officials, party leaders and cross-section of people at her official residence Ganobhaban.
At first, she exchanged greetings with cross-section of the people from 10:00am as the main entrance of Ganobhaban was opened on the Eid day.
The chiefs of the three services, inspector general of police (IGP), attorney general Mahbubey Alam and Election Commissioner Sakhawat Hossain, among others, exchanged greetings with the prime minister.
Later, Hasina exchanged pleasantries with foreign diplomats stationed in Dhaka. She also exchanged greetings with the Supreme Court judges including the chief justice.
Earlier, Awami League presidium member and Deputy Leader of Parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury greeted the prime minister on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Children who accompanied their parents and guardians were offered chocolates when they came close to the prime minister.
Some people narrated their problems to her, which she listened patiently and asked the officials concerned to take necessary actions to resolve their problems.
