All preparations including setting up of structures for 244 Eid congregations at traditional and temporary venues have been completed in the Chittagong city.
The congregations would be held under the supervision of Chittagong Central Eid Jamaat Committee and the Chittagong City Corporation.
Local administration, CCC and CCEJC sources said all kinds of preparations have been completed in the port city under the auspices of Chittagong district administration, the Metropolitan Police, and other religious organisations for peaceful celebration of the Eid-ul-Fitr with due solemnity.
The preparations will include organising of Eid congregations, safety and security in the port city and also to create a favourable atmosphere so that devotees could perform their religious rituals comfortably.
CCEJC has completed preparations to hold a total of 98 Eid congregations at different venues in the city while CCC completed 146 congregations structure on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr at traditional and temporary venues including its 41 Ward under the supervision of respective ward Councillors
The main Eid congregation under the auspicious of CCEJC will be held at MA Aziz stadium at 8:45am and the Baitus Sharaf Madrass principal, Moulana Saiyed Abu Noman, will conduct the prayer.
The other Eid congregations under the auspicious of CCEJC will be held at Andarkillah Shahi Mosque, Laldighi Maidan, Parade ground, Pologround Maidan, Shah Amanat Shah Dargah Maidan, Port Colony Mosque, Metropolitan Police line
Maidan, Agrabad Jamburee field, Bayzeed Bostami Dargah maidan at the same time.
The two grand Eid congregations under the auspices of CCC will be held at Jamiatul Falah Jatiya Mosque where the first Jamaat will conducted by Khatib of the Mosque Maulana Mohammad Jalaluddin Al Quadery and the second one will be led by Maulana Nur Mohammad Sadeque at 8:15am and 8:45am respectively.
