Terminal Examinations 2010 for students in the primary levels of general and madrasa education would begin on November 23 across the country, said the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) as it announced the schedule, yesterday.
It is the largest public examination in the country where class-V students of both general primary schools and ibtedai madrasas will sit for the examination together for the first time.
Earlier only students of general primary schools participated in the previous primary terminal examination, introduced last year.
According to the schedule, the examinations of six subjects in general primary and ibtedai will be held in six days instead of three days. The timing of the exams would be from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
Bangla exam for both the general primary and madrasas would be held on November 23 and while English exam will take place on the following day.
Paribesh Parichiti Biggyan for general and Quran O Akaid Fikh of madrasa would be held on November 25 while Mathematics exam for both levels would be on November 27, the schedule said.
Paribesh Parichiti Samaj and Religion for general primary will be held on November 28 and 29 respectively, while, Arabic and Parisbesh Parichiti Samaj O Biggyan for madrasa would be held on those dates in the same order.
This year, around 21 lakh students of general schools and 5 lakh ibtedai madrasa students will sit for the exams under the supervision of Primary and Mass Education Ministry, said the officials of DPE.
They said the students must pass the terminal exam to get enrolled in class VI.
