The principal of Barisal Model School and College in the city, entering the examination hall on Monday, cut the hair of male students reportedly to maintain dress code and discipline.
Informed by the students, journalist rushed to the spot and talked to the students, guardians and institution authourities, who said that none would protest at the disciplinary action.
The students and their guardians, requesting anonymity, said while the students taking Bangla second paper pre-test examination of higher secondary level, the principal enter the hall room with scissor and started cutting hair of the students haphazardly as they would then become bound to cut their hair as per the dress code of the institution.
Major Md Masud Rana, principal of the institution, acknowledging the incident, said he had earlier cut the hair of the students to maintain dress code and discipline of the institution after giving several warnings in this regard.
