Prof Md Nurul Alam was appointed the new vice chancellor of Jahangirnagar University yesterday for the next four years.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Education, President Abdul Hamid, also chancellor of the university, appointed him as the new JU VC.
On April 17, Alam, a teacher of the Department of Physics, was appointed as VC temporarily. He was the pro-VC of the university.
