Organisers of Lal-Sabuj, a monthly magazine of Barisal for children and juveniles, initiated ‘Project Eider Hasi’ to purchase new dresses for the street children on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
Barisal deputy commissioner Shahidul Alam and acting mayor of the Barisal city Alataf Mahmud Shikdar inaugurated the programme on Wednesday, donating to the sealed-box.
The Lal-Sabuj editor, Tahsin Uddin, said they would move door to door to collect donations for the street children.
Tahsin informed that they would collect money from the people who would contact over the following mobile number 01835135138.
The key of the transparent sealed-box was kept with the deputy commissioner, Tahsin said seeking response from those who could afford donation to purchase new cloths for the poor kids on the joyous occasion of Eid.
