Leading silver screen actress Purnima is now equally prominent on TV. She has done several plays that will be aired this Eid. She will be playing a lead role in “Nilimar Prante”, directed by S.A. Haque Alik, to be telecast on Channel i.
Maasranga Television will air the play “Omanisha” this Eid. The play is also directed and written by S.A. Haque Alik and Purnima’s co-actor is Shahriar Shubho.
TV play “Oi Khane Jeonako Tumi”, directed by Arif Khan, will be telecast on ntv. The play will feature popular stars Tauquir Ahmed and Mahfuz Ahmed as well.
Purnima will feature opposite Shahriar Shubho in a tele-film “Ekhono Bhalobashi”, directed by Mahbooba Islam Shumi and written by Golam Rabbani. The tele-film will be aired on channel i.
“For this Eid, though I haven’t done films, my audience will get to see me on the small screen,” said Purnima.
On the silver screen front: The previous year saw a super hit movie “Poran Jai Joliyare” featuring Purnima. Her debut film was “E Jibon Tomar Amar”. Her most successful film to date is “Moner Majhe Tumi”.
Among the other films that rocked her to success were “Shasti”, “Shubha”, “Akash Chhowa Bhalobasha” and “Hridoyer Kotha”.
