An online music radio, etune24.com, was formally launched at a Dhaka hotel on March 6, after three months of test transmission.
The prime target listeners of the radio channel are expatriate Bangladeshis.
Mohtashim Abdullah Saadi, managing director of S&T Trading (Pvt) Ltd, which owns the radio channel, Apollo Hospitals Ltd MD Shagufta Anwar, lyricist and journalist Kabir Bakul, and pop singer Azam Khan’s daughter Ema Khan, among others, were present on the occasion. Pop Guru Azam Khan, who could not make it to the launching ceremony, in a video message wished etune24.com every success.
‘As an online radio can be heard from any place of the world, we will offer newscast for four hours a day, besides a huge collection of different genres of Bangla music,’ etune24.com manager Nakib Ahmed told New Age.
