Bangladeshi GM Enamul Hossain Rajib shared the 3rd position in the 6th Mayor Cup International Open Chess Tournament along with eight other players securing 4.5 points after
the 6th round matches in the Indian city of Mumbai on Saturday.
After the 6th round, another Bangladeshi GM Ziaur Rahman earned 3.5 points, FM Debaraj Chatterjee and FM Mehdi Hasan earned 3 points each, Zoar Haque Pradhan earned 2.5 points, Kazi Mahbub Afzal earned 2 points, and Kazi Taherul Islam and Abul Kashem earned 1.5 points each.
In the 6th round matches, Razib beat Ziaydinov Raset of USA, Zia beat FM Saurav Kherdekar of India, Debaraj lost to GM Harutjunyan Gevorg of Armenia, Parag lost to GM RR Laxman of India, Zoar beat Phadke Sohan of India, Taher lost to WCM Savant Riya of India, Afzal beat Savarkar Narendra of India while Kashem drew with Aman Swapan Shah of India.
The 7th round matches were in progress on Sunday evening.
