Newly established Rajshahi Education Board School and College was inaugurated through a ceremony on Wednesday.
Rajshahi major AHM Kharuzzaman Liton, as the chief guest, inaugurated the institution, according to a release.
The mayor said with a view to improving education quality, the government had formulated a new secular education policy.
Rajshahi Education Board School and College principal Mokbul Hossain chaired the ceremony that was addressed, among others, by Rajshahi divisional commissioner Abdul Mannan, Rajshahi Education Board former chairman Nurul Alam, secretary Abdur Rob Mia, Rajshahi Shahmakhdum College principal Tasikul Islam Raza and RCC ward councilor Abdus Sobhan Liton.
The institution stands on 1.7 acres of land and Tk 7.34 crore was spent to build it.
