Rajshahi division recorded a huge 126-run win over Barisal in the second round of the National Cricket League, while national discard Alok Kapali smashed a massive century (153) to help Sylhet salvage a draw against Dhaka on Friday.
Khulna and Chittagong also settled for a draw in the other match of the second round.
Opening batsman Myshukur Rahman scored an unbeaten 107 to lead Rajshahi to 235-5 in the second innings, setting a 393-run winning target for Barisal, who were all out for 266 runs despite an unbeaten 94 by Arafat Salahuddin.
Left-arm spinner Saqlain Sajib grabbed four wickets in the second innings to take his tally to nine in the game held at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra.
Rajshahi collected full 16 points from the match that included eight points for outright win and four bonus points each for batting and bowling.
After resuming on unbeaten 67, Alok Kapali added 86 runs at the Rajshahi divisional stadium to take Sylhet to 390-7 before they declared the innings, setting a 302-run winning target for Dhaka.
Dhaka made a gallant effort to achieve the target but ran out of time to end their second innings at 260-6. Opener Elias Sunny made 101 runs off 118 balls.
Rain interrupted the match badly at the Sylhet divisional stadium as the match between Khulna and Chittagong ended in a draw.
After a long delay, Khulna resumed the second innings on 115-3 and could add just 33 runs for the loss of two more wickets before bad light ended the game.
