The Rajshahi City Corporation is committed to delivering its civic services in a corruption and hustle-free manner, Shariful Islam Babu, mayor-in-charge of the corporation, has said.
After taking charge, the present council has brought back and ensured transparency in the administrative and operational activities, he further said.He made this observation when a two-member delegation, Adviser Devid Humphrey and senior programme manager Hassan Ali, of Transparency International Bangladesh, called on him at his City Bhaban office on Tuesday.
Sharif Babu said the corporation has arranged public hearing meetings on various civic service issues. ‘We have formulated citizens charter, launched website and adopted different other time-fitting measures to receive information directly from the community.’
The TIB delegation shared views with the mayor to formulate its new working strategy.
