Leaders of Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry have lauded the contribution of Underprivileged Children’s Educational Programmes in producing skilled manpower for industries.
They were addressing a discussion organised by Rangpur Regional UCEP office under its Employment Support Service Component at UCEP- Rangpur Regional Complex auditorium on Saturday in observance of the UCEP Employers’ Day-2013.
Mosaddek Hossain Bablu, president of RCCI, addressed the function as the chief guest with SM Shameem Ahsan, Rangpur RRC of UCEP- Bangladesh, in the chair.
RCCI president, Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu, chairperson of RR UCEP Employers’ Committee, Habibur Rahman Raja, RCCI senior vice-president, Gazi Sajjad Jahir, programme officer of UCEP- Bangladesh from Dhaka and engineer Mezbaul Alam, AGM of Abul Khayer Group, attended the function as the special guests.
RCCI leaders, UCEP officials, employers including owners and representatives of different industries from all eight districts under Rangpur division, social workers and
students of the UCEP technical schools were also present at the programme.
SM Shameem Ahsan narrated the ongoing UCEP activities in transforming the under privileged working children into productive human resources through technical, vocational education and training on various trades.
Like other regional schools, UCEP Rangpur Technical School has been providing similar education and training to the underprivileged working children and assisting them in getting jobs to change their fate, he elaborated.
The speakers highly lauded the role of UCEP and called upon the highest authorities for giving maximum efforts in developing more innovative programmes with newer technologies to provide technical and vocational education and training to a large number
of underprivileged working children.
They expressed confidence in the abilities of UCEP to meet new challenges and hoped that more underprivileged children would avail the opportunities provided by UCEP in the coming days.
The chief guest requested the owners and authorities of different industries to extend full cooperation in employing the skilled and trained manpower of UCEP Rangpur Technical School.
