Re-election to the post of councillor at ward 16 in the Sylhet City Corporation will be held on July 8 since the two rival candidates got equal number of votes in the polls held on June 15.
The Sylhet district election officer, Rashedul Islam, also assistant returning officer, told New Age on Monday that they would hold fresh election to the post of general ward councillor.
