The Rajshahi University authorities have fixed October 18 as the deadline of registration for the 8th convocation of the university in spite of October 6, says a press release on Monday.
Earlier, the registration began on September 7. The convocation was scheduled to be held on December 2.
The authorities in a press release said a few changes were brought in the criteria for registration while former students holding their Master’s, MBBS, Mphil and PhD degree between 1991 and 2005 from the university could register for the convocation.
Earlier, it was advertised that students holding Master’s and MBBS by the year 2000 and Mphil and PhD degree by 2005 could join the convocation.
Students have to register their names through any Teletalk operator as per the directions given on RU web site.
The delegation fees were fixed at Tk 2,200 for each student with 10 per cent service charge of Teletalk connection.
Besides, the students could register collecting and submitting registration form at the office of the institute of education and research at the university’s Ismaill Hossain Siraji Bhaban with the delegation fees.
The last convocation at the university was held on November, 1998.
