The Sylhet District Restaurant Owners’ Association on Sunday
announced all restaurants in the district ‘smoking free’.
The association president, Ataur Rahman, made the announcement in a discussion programme jointly held by the Ahsania Mission, Dhaka, and Sylhet Restaurant Owners’ Association at the District Council auditorium in the city at noon.
Discussants at the programme also welcomed the ‘Smoking and Tobacco Made Goods Use (control) (amended) Law 2013’ and said all the restaurants in the country would gradually be declared smoking-free.
