Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen recently appeared on Twinkle Khanna’s Tweak show for an interaction where both discussed relationships, marriage, kids, adoption, men and bad decisions.
In a conversation with Twinkle Khanna on the show The Icons, the actor divulged that she came close to getting married thrice but ended up opting out since the men were a letdown. She also said that God always saved her from getting married to the wrong person.
“Luckily, I’ve met some very interesting men in my life, and the only reason I didn’t get married is because they were a letdown. It had nothing to do with my kids. My kids were never in the equation; if anything, they have been very gracious. They have accepted people in my life with open arms, given everybody an equal measure of love and respect. It’s the most beautiful thing to watch. I came close to getting married thrice. All three times, God saved me. I can’t tell you what disasters followed with their respective lives. God did protect me, but also because God protected these two kids, he can’t let me get into a messy affair,” she said.
Sushmita entered the entertainment world after she won the Miss India and Miss Universe pageant in 1994. She started her film career a couple of years later. She last appeared in the Disney+Hotstar series Aarya and received the Best Actor Female award at the Filmfare OTT Awards for her performance in the first season of the show.
