At least two people were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents in Natore Satkhira and Chittagong yesterday.
A correspondent from Natore reports: One person was killed and two others injured in a road accident at Baruhat village under Singra upazila early yesterday.
The deceased is Seken Ali, 35, son of Rustom Ali, hailed from Sakabaria village under Bheramara upazila of Kustia.
Foyejur Rahman, office-in-charge of Singra police station, said the accident occurred around 5:00am when driver of a potato-laden truck lost his control over steering of the vehicle and hit a tree beside the Natore-Bogra highway, leaving Seken dead on the spot and injuring two potato traders Aynal, 35, and Mohor Ali, 38.
Our correspondent from Satkhira adds: An old man was killed in a road accident on Satkhira-Kaliganj road in Sadar upazila yesterday.
The deceased was Abdul Jabbar Mollah, 65 son of Fatik Mollah of village Machhkhola in Sadar upazila.
A correspondent from Ctg says: A speedy truck ran over a three-year-old child, Iftekher Habib, leaving him dead on spot around 1:30pm yesterday while he was walking beside the road of his village Dharmapur, under Satkania.
Iftekher is a son of Habibur Rahman and Shiryia Begum. His father works in Dubai.
Locals chased the truck, beat the driver and fired the truck.
