10 injured
Masked robbers stormed into a jeweller blasting bombs on AC Dhar Road at Kalirbazar of Narayanganj and made off with ornaments on Thursday night.
At least ten people were injured in the attack by the robbers.
Witness said that about 12-14 robbers on motorcycles came to the market at about 9:00pm blasting bombs indiscriminately to create panic and forced their way into Al-Amin Jewellers.
The robbers looted the all gold ornament and cash from the shop and fled.
The injured, including jewellery shop owner Shahidulla, 55, Amit, 25, Ovi, 27, Titu, 30, and Pappu, 22, were undergoing treatment at Khanpur Hospital in the city.
Narayanganj sadar model police officer-in-charge SM Manjur Kader said that the police had seized two crude bombs from the spot and were trying to hunt down the robbers and recover the looted ornaments.
On February 2, robbers looted cash and gold ornaments from two jewellers at Minabazar in the city.
