Mobile operator Robi is set to modernize and expand its network across the country. It has already embarked upon a series of programmes to enhance its quality of service, mainly by upgrading its technical resources. In this regard, the company has recently chosen Ericsson to supply and install microwave MINI-LINK transmission system.
Under the three-year agreement Robi will implement Ericsson’s latest packet enabled MINI-LINK Traffic Node (TN) and Compact Node (CN) backhaul solution, which will provide a platform for flexible, scalable and cost-effective transport network.
Giving his observation on the agreement Managing Director and CEO of Robi, Michael Kuehner said this will greatly help in realizing the commitments made while rebranding Robi to improve and expand services to the customers.
In this context, Per-Henrik Nielsen, President of Ericsson Bangladesh mentioned “Ericsson is pleased to partner with Robi for this expansion and the benefits it would bring to rural communities.”
