Mobile phone operator Robi Axiata and ONE Bank on Wednesday signed an agreement to facilitate the bank’s clients in getting ‘OK’ Mobile Financial Services, said a news release.
Robi managing director and chief executive officer Supun Weerasinghe and ONE Bank managing director M Fakhrul Alam signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations at the Robi corporate office at Gulshan in the capital.
Under the agreement, Robi will act as a facilitator for distribution network and Unstructured Supplementary Service Data provision for ONE Bank mobile banking service.
ONE Bank serves its nationwide clients through more than 5,000 ONE Bank-owned agent points and another 15,000 partner pay-points. The customers can get OK Service, which was launched on September 5, 2013, from all the branches of ONE Bank and OK-accredited Paypoints, and other mobile phone outlets.
Robi chief human resources officer Matiul Islam Nowshad, chief financial officer Mahtab Uddin Ahmed and head of finance and regulations (digital services) Dewan Nazmul Hasan, and ONE Bank executive vice-president Adil Raihan, head of IT Ahmad Tabshir Choudhury and senior assistant vice-president Mahedi Hasan were, among others, present at the agreement signing ceremony.
