Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Robi Axiata Ltd on Sunday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Under the agreement, Robi will provide internship opportunities to ACCA students in regular intervals. Mohua Rashid, country head of ACCA Bangladesh and Matiul Islam Nowshad, chief human resources of Robi Axiata Ltd singed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisation.at a city hotel.
Matiul Islam Nowshad said, “As a major employer in Bangladesh, we are committed to the development of finance professionals. We are developing the talent pool of our staff for the benefit of wider community.”
He said that the initiative of ACCA and Robi would encourage other corporate houses to take the same initiative for creating skilled manpower.
Addressing the press conference, Mohua Rashid said that students of ACCA may complete an internship at Robi which will help them to their future professional life.
Under the terms of the MoU, ACCA will support Robi in attracting and retaining talent in the organisation and they will work together on events to promote the finance and business work of both organisations, she also said.
“We will also work together to explore other potential areas for the benefit of country’s economy”, she said.
Monirul Hasan, business development manager of ACCA and Sarmin Sultan, vice-president (operation) of Robi were also present.
