Former National Cricket Academy coach Ross Turner could return to Bangladesh on advisory role, said the Bangladesh Cricket Board officials on Sunday.
‘We are working on the strategic issue with Ross,’ BCB chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury told New Age from Duabi over phone. ‘But I cannot give you further details at the moment.’
It has been reported that the BCB is close to signing a four-year deal with the Australian, who worked with the Academy in 2011 before leaving on a health ground.
Some BCB officials, however, expressed their surprise about the report saying that the veteran Australian coach may not be in a physical condition to make any long-term commitment.
‘I am not too sure about his health condition. May be others have better ideas,’ said the BCB media committee chairman and official spokesperson Jalal Yunus.
