The fisheries department of Rajshahi University observed on Saturday its 10th founding anniversary with enthusiasm, fanfare and participation of students, teachers and staff.
Several hundred students and teachers, led by the vice-chancellor and the pro-vice-chancellor, marched the major points of the university campus with the beats of drums, celebrating ‘Fisheries Department Day 2010’.
The national flag as well as the university flag was hoisted on the academic building of the department at agriculture faculty.
Former teachers and students of the department also joined a colourful procession carrying festoons, placards, banners and flags on the campus at around 9:30am.
