An official business delegation from Russia will visit Bangladesh in the first week of September to discuss prospects of bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries, said Russian ambassador to Bangladesh Alexander A Nikolaev in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The delegation headed by the deputy minister for industry and trade ministry will comprise of representatives from the government and businessmen from agriculture, railway, fertiliser and infrastructure sectors, he said at a meeting with the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
At the meeting, DCCI acting president Nessar Maksud Khan invited Russian investors to invest in Bangladesh particularly in building infrastructure, power and gas sectors under public private partnership ‘enjoying attractive liberal fiscal policies existing in the country.’
He also urged Russia to import pharmaceuticals, ceramics, footwear, light engineering, plastic products from Bangladesh.

others, were present at the meeting.
