Bangladesh Computer Samity nominee and former BCS president Md Sabur Khan has recently been elected as chairman of Global Trade Committee of World IT & Services Alliances based in the USA and representations of whole IT organisations, said a news release.
Sabur won the position securing the highest number of direct casting votes beating Japan and Afghanistan. The election was held in the General Assembly of WITSA at Guadalajara, Mexico on Sunday.
WITSA is a global ICT industry association comprising members from 80 countries around the world.
Sabur started his career in 1992 with ICT business and he was the president of Bangladesh Computer Samity during 2002-2003. He is the immediate past president of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry and chairman of Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University.
