The Salimullah Medical College will resume its academic function on December 17.
The decision to reopen the college was made in a meeting with the Mitford Hospital, the medical college principle Dilip Kumar Dhor told New Age.
Dilip Kumar said that in an academic council meeting they had decided that the college would resume when the situation becomes usual.
‘Since everything is now under control, we have decided the resumption,’ said the principle.
Mahbubul Alam, acting director of Mitford Hospital, said the function of the hospital had become usual as the grade III and IV have joined the work.
The principle said most of the intern doctors also joined the service.
Hundreds of patients suffered immensely for more than three days as at least 20 people were injured, including five critically, when the students and intern doctors at Salimullah Medical
College and Mitford hospital locked in series of clashes with the hospital staffs on early hours of Tuesday.
