The Bangladesh Cricket Board on Tuesday added batsman Salman Hossain to their 25-member High Performance squad for 2016-17 season. The players will be under the supervision of BCB’s intense training programme with an aim to nurture the budding talent. The BCB had announced a 24-member squad last month, where the former Under-19 batsman failed to get a place despite a reasonable show for Cricket Coaching School in the Dhaka Premier League.
The 21-year batsman scored a total 399 runs from 11 matches including a hundred and three fifties.
The training camp will begin from July 17 at the National Cricket Academy ground in Mirpur.
The squad comprises nine batsmen, seven spinners, seven pacers and two wicketkeepers.
Australian Simon Helmot was appointed as the head coach of High Performance Programme for a three-month contract which will run until October.
