The 158th Santal Revolution Day was observed in Rajshahi with the demand that the government recognise the national minorities as indigenous people instead of ethnic minorities in the constitution.
Jatiya Adibashi Parishad and Adibashi Cultural Development Organisation separately arranged programmes to celebrate the historic day.On June 30, 1885, minority people, especially the Santals, led by Sidu and Kanu, started a fight against the British regime.
