Campaign posters and banners put up across the Sylhet city have not yet been taken off, which resulted in a difficult situation for the pedestrians and commuters.
It has been six days since the city corporation polls took place and still the campaign adverts are seen tangled up with electric poles, walls and railings of several buildings.
The city dwellers have alleged that the tangle of banners and posters were creating disturbance in their daily commuting.
Apart from creating troubles for the commuters, heaped up polythene coated posters impede the free flow of narrow drains in different areas.
The SCC authorities, however, claimed that the clean-up had already begun on Wednesday.
SCC chief engineer Nur Azizur Rahman said the clean-up was delayed due to ladder shortage.
