A seminar was held titled ‘Geoeconomics in the Aftermath of Covid-19 and recent Geopolitical Tensions: Trade Implications for Bangladesh’
organised by the Department of Economics under the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of Bangladesh University of Professionals at Bijoy Auditorium of the university in Dhaka on Tuesday, said a press release on Thursday.
The purpose of the seminar is to ignite young minds and to have a discussion on the challenges and opportunities of the Bangladesh economy in the post-Covid pandemic and post-Ukraine war in the recent geopolitical scenario.
At the seminar, BUP pro-vice-chancellor professor Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain was present as chief guest while MA Razzaque, research director of Policy Research Institute, presented the keynote paper. Lieutenant Colonel Md Shamsul Kabir, chairman of the
Department of Economics, moderated the event. BUP high officials, faculty members, and students attended the seminar, among others.
