The Bangladesh Cricket Board said on Saturday that players’ draft of the fourth edition of Bangladesh Premier League, country’s lone franchise-based Twenty20 tournament, will be held on September 30.
The forthcoming edition of BPL will be played between seven teams unlike previous competition, which was featured by six teams, according to a BCB press release.‘Khulna and Rajshahi have returned as franchises to join Comilla Victorians, Barisal Bulls, Rangpur Riders, Dhaka Dynamites and Chittagong Vikings, quoted the press release.
‘Sylhet Super Stars meanwhile, will not be a part of the BPL fourth edition after its contract was terminated for breaching franchisee agreement terms.’
The fourth edition of BPL is scheduled to start from November 6.
GEMCON Group, Mango Entertainment Ltd are frontrunners to own Khulna and Rajshahi respectively.
