Mohammad Shahjahan Khan, a shipping an1d real estate businessman, has recently been elected as president of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the year 2014.
Osama Taseer and Kh Shahidul Islam have been elected as senior vice-president and vice-president respectively. The new board of directors of DCCI took over
charge on Wednesday at the 52th annual general meeting of the trade body held at its auditorium, said a press release of DCCI.
The newly elected directors for 2014-2016 are Sameer Sattar, AKD Khair Mohammad Khan, KG Karim, Mukter Hossain Chowdhury and S Rumi Saifullah.
Shahjahan Khan, former general manager of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, is the managing director of SS Shipping and Trading Ltd and SS Shipping and Chartering Ltd, chairman of SS Builders Ltd and Fatema Real Estate and Developers Ltd.
