Md Russel Shahrior has recently joined FAS Finance & Investment Ltd as managing director and chief executive officer. Prior to the appointment, he was the deputy managing director of MIDAS Financing Limited, said a news release. Shahrior served as executive vice-president and head of SME Finance, Green Banking & IT Division at IIDFC for more than eight years. He also served United Leasing Company as head of Credit and Small Enterprise.
Shahrior started his career as a project analyst in Industrial Credit Division of BASIC Bank in 1999 and served there for more than five years.
He holds a Masters degree in advanced engineering management obtained from Industrial and Production Engineering Department of BUET.
